Mass-Selective Matrix Isolation System

Ions are produced by ionizaer and guilded into mass filter. Ions of selected mass (m/z) are co-deposited with matrix on the cold substrate. The spectra of the ions of interest thus can be recorded by FT-IR and UV/visible/NIR spectrometers.

Versatile Matrix Isolation System

This system is coupled with the intense VUV beamline (TLS 21A2) & the electron gun (5 KeV, 3 mA) to produce highly unstable molecules in solid matrices.

1-m Gas Cell System

1-m gas cell system is used for measure absorption cross sections of gases in the vacuum UV/UV spectral region. Both pressure and temperature of gas of interest are acturatelly controlled.

Photoluminescence System

The PL system provides both PL and absorption measurements of materials in various forms, such as powder, thin film, bulk, liquid, and so on. The excitation light typically comes from the TLS 03A1 for the aim to study wide or large bandgap materials. Cryostat is equipped for measurement at low temperatures.

Time-resolved Fluorescence Lifetime Measurement

With a Modelocked Ti-Sapphire Laser (Tsunami with SHG/THG) + TimeHarp 260 + PMA 182 (PicoQuant), we can measure fluorescence lifetime of light-emitting materials in the time scale from ~150 ps to us.

Commercial Fluorescence Spectrometer (FS5) with integrating sphere

FS5 spectrometer provides typical fluorescence spectral measurement and quantum efficiency in the spectral region 230-950 nm.
